The first used book sale of the year is January 11 (Thursday) through January 13 (Saturday), during regular business hours. The sales benefit the Friends of the Romulus Public Library.

Historic Newspapers Available Digitally

The Romulus Public Library is actively working to digitize approximately 50 years of Romulus newspapers dated from 1968, making historic articles and images available and searchable online 24/7.  Thanks to generous donations from library supporters, at a cost of about $500 a year, more than 20 years of newspapers have already been digitized.  Access the newspapers online at <span style="color:...

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

This is a free program that parents/caregivers can use to help prepare their child(ren) for kindergarten. All you have to do is read to your child - it's that simple. The goal is to read 1,000 books before your children enters kindergarten.

Beginning August 28, come to the library to sign up for the program. We will give you a folder containing your first reading log, program instructions, and some book lists to help you determine different books to read to your child....

Community Read Boxes

Borrow a book this summer from one of five library Read Boxes at Romulus Historical Park, Elmer Johnson Park, Mary Ann Banks Park, St. John’s Lodge Park and Huron Township’s Lajko Park. Return it to the box to share with others.

Hoopla Is Here!

The Romulus Public Library is excited to announce the public availability of thousands of movies, television shows, music albums and audiobooks, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with Hoopla Digital–all you need is a valid Romulus library card!  Hoopla will be replacing Freegal as part of the Romulus Public Library digital library suite.

Romulus Library Community Puzzle Table

Our first 500-piece community puzzle is complete!  Thank you to all who participated.  Come to the library to see what's next on the puzzle table.

Everyone is invited to take a turn. The puzzle table is located in the back of the library near the Adult Non-Fiction collection.  Puzzles have been provided to the library through generous donations.  We are accepting puzzle donations, but please make sure all of the pieces are in the box!
