Library Director – Patty Braden
Patty Braden has served as director of the Romulus Public Library since 2011. Before coming to Romulus, she was director of a public library in north Wisconsin for four years and worked for many years in academic libraries. Patty has a B.S. in Geography from Eastern Michigan University and earned her MILS at the University of Michigan. She enjoys reading, Michigan football, and spending time with family. As library director, Patty is committed to providing excellent service to the community.
Youth Services Librarian – Jessica Wilhoite
Jessica Wilhoite is the Youth Librarian here at the Romulus Public Library. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a B.A. in History/Art History, then thought – now what? She took to the internet to try and find her next step and, literally, came upon links for library school; she enrolled at Wayne State and graduated in 2010 with her Master’s in Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree.
These days she can be found in the stacks of the Romulus Library, at her desk preparing great programs for the kiddos, or at home playing with her four year old son. She has been married for 11 years to her wonderful husband, Jay and has a fur baby, named Thor. She loves reading, reading, and reading…oh yeah, and coffee.
Adult Librarian – Aubrey Franklin
Aubrey began as the Adult Services Librarian at the Romulus Public Library in August 2016. She has worked in public libraries since 2008, reinforcing her decision to become a librarian. She holds a B.A. in Humanities from the University of Michigan – Dearborn and an M.L.I.S. from Wayne State University. Aubrey enjoys music, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Library Assistant – Cathrine Trautman
Cathrine received her B.A. in History from Saginaw Valley State University in 2015 and worked at the Public Libraries of Saginaw for a short time before accepting a position at Romulus Public Library in May 2016. She is also currently employed at Henry Ford Centennial Library Children’s Department in Dearborn. Currently, she is being trained to become a public speaker focused on educating the public about addiction, and is also a prospective member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Cathrine enjoys reading historical non-fiction or biographies, spending time with her Siberian Husky named Kya, and plans to attend Wayne State University for a double masters degree in Library Science and History.

Library Page – Brenda Pullins
After retiring from 37 years of service as a United States Postal Worker and caring for her mother, Brenda Pullins prayed for the perfect job. As always, her prayers were answered and now she has the perfect job as a Library Page at the Romulus Public Library! Why is her job perfect? Books, books, and books!
